The power of human connection.

Daily writing prompt
What change, big or small, would you like your blog to make in the world?

“Everybody has a story” This is the essence of the human connection. The shared experience and relatability.

At the core of my blog, I want the reader/ a reader to experience the “human connection”. And whilst it is not optimal as an in person connection, it is still a connection nevertheless.

I wholeheartedly believe that we, as individuals, were not designed to be isolated. And truth be known, there have been times when I have felt (or maybe experienced) this thing called loneliness. And whilst I felt like I was alone, there was a reason for that feeling and for me to sit with it. I won’t go into details here about it. But if you would like me to write about it, I would love for you to leave me a comment below.

I write from an intuitive place. I write to share hope and that – there is always hope, no matter how dark a situation feels or seems.

To answer the question: I don’t know what change I want to make? I don’t think it can be neatly categorised. So, I leave it up to you (the reader) to decide how they want to interpret what I have put out there.

A pet project like this can only come from what I know, and what I know to have worked for me.

As a society, if we do not share our progress with others, then as a collective we can’t grow. For me, I believe my overcoming of challenges and adversity are meant to be shared. There may just be someone going through the same experience, wondering whether there will be light for them at the end of the tunnel? We cannot dismiss the realness of such emotions.

To sum this up: I started with a vague idea of what I wanted this blog to do. I have pivoted many of times and with time away from writing, I can see much clearer now, where I want this blog site to head? I want to connect with my readership. For this platform to act like a virtual friend.

I want to form a community where hope and healing is very possible.

This is ultimately my goal.

I write to connect. This is the core of humanity and its existence. Without it, we perish. Let’s admit it, we all love a good story, that is how we bond. Through shared experiences.

Like all things, Healing and change does not happen in the neatness. It is … one hot mess. But I truly believe that, from the ashes we can rise and realise our potential (no matter our age).

Let’s make today better than yesterday. And with hope, All things are possible.
