Forgiveness comes from a place of understanding

If you can’t do it for them, do it for you.

Don’t wait to forgive. The time on earth is finite.

Why are we holding a grudge? Is it because we feel entitled to it? At what cost are we paying?

We never consider the hidden cost of unforgiveness. Or the fact that we … may have also wronged someone in the past or maybe even present?

The silence is not going to heal all wounds and nor will time.

It needs a dash of honesty and a stadium size line of communication. We can say we don’t know how to do it?

But –

Are we waiting for someone else to come and rescue us from the wound? Or are we going to be active participants and be a force in shaping our future trajectory?

There will come a point in time where time, is no longer available.

Then what?

Make them count. The milliseconds, seconds, minutes.

Don’t let pride grab hold of our hearts and lead us by the nose with unforgiveness, only to request more time where time unavails itself.

How much does the situation and person mean to you? if it wasn’t for feelings of slight?

Come from a place of love and compassion. It’s an expensive initial outlay, but you will see dividends.

Step back and try seeing it from the vantage point of the other. We may just find that what we see from where we stand looks much different from where they are.

Perspective can be a place of reconciliation or …

And if …

If you can’t do it for them, do it for yourself.
